How is this different from official CELPIP prep (Paragon)?

Paragon's free practice material (celpip.ca, checked September 2026) returns a score without per-criterion feedback on what you wrote. Every Writing and Speaking attempt here is scored across the 4 published criteria with an explanation of what would push each one up a band. We are independent and not affiliated with Paragon Testing Enterprises.

Is your AI scoring accurate?

We use the same 4-criterion CELPIP rubric (Content/Coherence, Vocabulary, Readability, Task Fulfillment) as official raters and benchmark against published band descriptors. Our band 10–12 reference responses are written to match the structure real raters reward.

Will my CELPIP score actually go up?

Accepted Answer

A score alone does not tell you what to change. Per-criterion feedback names the criterion holding an attempt back and what a better answer does differently, so the next attempt has something to aim at. The site is new and we have no score-improvement data to show you — we will publish it when real attempts support it, and will not invent it before then.

How long should I prep for?

Already comfortable with English: 2–4 weeks of 30–60 min daily. New to English or out of practice: 8–12 weeks. Start with a free practice set in your weakest skill — your first scored attempts show how far you are from your target band.

CELPIP vs IELTS — which is easier?

Accepted Answer

CELPIP is fully computer-based with recorded speaking and Canadian English. IELTS has a face-to-face speaking interview and mixed accents. Pick whichever fits your strengths — both map to the same CLB scale that IRCC uses.

What if I fail and need to retake?

You can retake after 4 calendar days, but every sitting costs CAD $299 plus tax (celpip.ca). A week of practice here costs a small fraction of that, and the site is built to break the score-plateau retake loop rather than to sell you another attempt.

Do I need internet for practice?

Yes — drills, mock exams, and AI feedback all run server-side. Your attempts and feedback are saved to your account and work across devices.
